User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 After downloading a file the message box that is in the bottom right corner of the screen will not go away. After closing Firefox, the box is still there. The only way I have found to get rid of it is to go into task manager and quit the "firefox.exe" process that is still running. The orginal Firefox program That I downloaded didn't have this problem.. BUT the current download and the only other that I downloaded ( 1.03 ?? ) have had this problem. ALSO I just installed Thunderbird and it's message window that there is new mail... has the same problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download a file 2.empty download manager window 3.close firefox 4.notification window stays on screen. Expected Results: Notification window should close if program is closed or Notification window is "clicked on", it should close.
Try starting Firefox in its safe mode or try creating a new profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
-> incomplete, no reply/feedback is this is reproduceable in safe mode / with a new profile. Stuart, feel free to reopen this bug if you can reproduce this with a latest build/release. Please comment in the bug with a response to comment 1 in that case.
