Details

When rightclicking on a link in a page, the letters 'W' and 'T' open the link respectively in a new *W*indow or new *T*ab. However rightclicking on a link in the bookmarks list, personal bookmark toolbar or in the bookmark manager, the keys are 'N' and 'W' for resp. open in new Window and open in new Tab. It would make more sense if always 'N' refers to open in Window, and 'T' refers to open in new Tab. In IE, 'N' is used for 'New Window' and 'O' for open in current page. To summarize: 'O' opens link in the current view (tab/page/window) 'N' opens link in a New Window. ('W' would be more logical, but deviant from IE, and others). 'T' opens link in a new Tab This should be the same for rightclick on links in a page, as well as on links in the bookmark lists...

Well, IMO "W" and "T" work fine for new window and tab. Simply set the activated keys in the bookmarks window to the same as in a web-page view. [This, in fact, should be done THROUGHOUT the entire interface!] "W" and "T" also maintain consistency with the moz suite, IMO one of the biggest problems with FF. Consistency with IE, IMO, is an absolute non-issue. Regardless, I agree 100% this [and ALL shortcuts/active keys] should be the same in the bookmarks view and in the web-page view.
If you make "t" the accesskey for new tab on bookmarks, which are editable, then you either have to decide to make the accesskey for Cu_t_ inconsistent between bookmarks and text, or change it to something that people consistently don't expect it to be. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 301888 ***
