I am using the latest Mozilla (1.7.12) and Mac OS (10.4.3).

Mozilla frequently (but not always) crashes (a) when I try to switch applications to Mozilla by clicking somewhere on an open web page, or (b) when I try to switch web pages by clicking somewhere on an open web page. Mozilla doesn't shut down- it simply freezes (the cursor colour palette starts going round and round forever, and you can't do anything in Mozilla) and it is necessary to force quit.

This bug doesn't occur if I switch applications a 'proper' way (i.e. by using the dock or apple-tab), or switch web pages a 'proper' way (eg by using the Window menu bar). Nor (I think) does it happen if I click on the web page's title bar. This suggests to me that there is something about clicking directly on the web page that makes it freeze.

I don't have the skills to give you more technical details. It may be difficult to reproduce since it doesn't happen every time you transfer between web pages/ applications in this way, but it definitely *is* frequent and recurring.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get several web pages open in Mozilla at same time; also have other applications open
2. Move from one web page to another, or from a non-Mozilla app to Mozilla, by clicking on one of the open web pages. This has led to crashes on my computer frequently.

Actual Results:  
I have reproduced this problem deliberately through the steps above.


This crash seems to happen irrespective of the web page that you are trying to bring to front.

Can you try a newer build?  Mozilla 1.7 branch is only taking security fixes.

MozillaAS v1.7.x is not supported anymore.

(Would have been "Incomplete", now is) R.Invalid.
