User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Hello. I'm running FireFox on a Toshiba 3Ghz Pentium 4 laptop with 512Mb RAM. I am finding that more often than not if I shut down the computer at work then start it up again at home (or vice versa)when I click to load FireFox I get the hourglass icon for a moment and then nothing ...as if I hadn't clicked at all. At this point I have only been able to solve the problem by running a system restore. Reproducible: Sometimes
It is an old version that you are using. Try installing the latest. And before starting the new one, make a fresh start with a new profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#How_do_I_create_a_new_profile.3F
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile.
