After a conversation with Paul Kim, Mike Beltzer, and myself, we agreed that we should replace the mass redirect of everything in the .org/products/firefox and .org/products/thunderbird (and other?) dirs with more targetted, page-spefic redirects. This will allow us to leave some older/out-of-date content behind on the .org site and is generally more sane. However, before any such change is made, I want to make sure it happens smoothly. Perhaps we could start with one (maybe start with Thunderbird since it's not as completely in the spotlight and get it out of the way before tbird 1.5?). Right now, .org/products/thunderbird/.htaccess includes the following line: Redirect permanent /products/thunderbird/ http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/ I presume this is the line causing everything at .org/products/thunderbird and al sub-files/dirs to be redirected? If we setup /products/thunderbird/index.html to redirect instead, we can handle the other files on a case-by-case basis. A list of the files that live in .org/products/thunderbird and where should they be redirected is at http://wiki.mozilla.org/WebsiteTransition#Thunderbird_Pages_Review
