After ChatZilla has been open for a while, my system seems slow. One time I checked the Windows task manager and found that Firefox was using something like 98% of my CPU time. Closing ChatZilla immediately resolves the problem, and when I start Chatzilla again everything is fine for a while.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to Moznet and EFnet, and join a couple channels.
2. Ignore ChatZilla for an hour or two.
Actual Results:
The system gets slow; Firefox CPU usage goes way up.
I'm running ChatZilla version 0.9.69. I wonder if this is related to bug 289275.

Yay for timer bugs!
The issue is actually specific to Firefox 1.5, to which you recently updated. Please read the information on the bug I'm duping to and the bug that depends on.
