320284 - i am unable to copy and paste a part of a comment in a forum site when quoting, i have to copy and paste the entire comment for quoting

I cannot copy and paste a part of a comment for quoting in forum sites, i am allowed to copy and paste the entire comment, so i is not possible to quote the entire comment. How to solve that? Such problem happens many times in many differebt forum sites, especially on www.multiply.com.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.i select a text
2.copy and paste fro quoting
3.it copies and pastes the entire comment, not what i selected

Actual Results:  
it did not copied and pasted the selection i did, it copied and pasted the entire text, when i performed the action on IE browser, it worked all right, i could copy and paste the selected part of the text without any problem.

Expected Results:  
it should copy and paste what i selected for quoting in another window, the way it  used to do before when i was working with the Mozilla 1.0.7, after i downloaded this new version, the problems started.

Can you reproduce this in Firefox's safe-mode?

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
