321420 - After system hang, the personal toolbar is missing as well as all bookmarks

This has happened multiple times and I have finaly recognized the environment. If Mozilla is active and any task causes Windows XP to hang (ie, Control, alt, delete is not functioning) then following the reboot of the system, Mozilla has lost all information about bookmarks or the personal tool bar. Also, it is now impossible to drag a URL icon to the personal tool bar. When you do, the system beeps and nothing has been stored. I have not have this happon on Firefox, but the same thing has happened on Netscape. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have mozill with bookmarks and personal tool bat
2. Force a system hang - I assume hitting reset on the PC might cause the same effect - I haven't tried it.
3. Reboot and Mozilla has no memory of bookmarks other than those that come native with the product. The homepage has also been reset.

Actual Results:  
Same as above.

Expected Results:  
I would have expect a system failure to not effect bookmarks or the Personal tool bar.

I am switching to Firefox and will see if it also has the same problem.

Bookmarks are in a file named bookmarks.html in your profile. This file is displayed as folders and bookmarks, and a folder can be selected to be displayed in your Personal Toolbar. If that file is lost, you can't have bookmarks in P.T.

My suggestion: backup your profile, especially bookmarks.html.
Bookmarks.html can have other names, and doesn't need to be in the profile, the location can be specified using the Bookmarks Manager command:
File->Open Bookmarks File...
Or in about:config 
browser.bookmarks.file user set string E:\my\path\myOtherBookmark.htm
Don't use the Default Profile, create another profile and use this. If your profile gets corrupt, you will leave it unchanged and fallback to the Default Profile. If the Default Profile is corrupt, it will be recreated, data are lost.
