Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 New 1.5 install in new Win 2000. I try to import my former bookmarks.html from my prior firefox install in ff's Bookmarks manager using import from file. The bookmarks are considered temporary for the session. A restart goes back to the installed ff bookmarks (only). I also browsed and bookmarked several sites to the toolbar. They too disappear after the ff session. I also imported the same old bookmarks into IE. Then I used the "ff import from IE" . Again the bookmarks are available only for the current Firefox session. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.import bookmarks 2. close Firefox 3. restart firefox Actual Results: The imported bookmarks do not appear in the new session of Firefox 1.5. Expected Results: I should see the imported bookmarks in firefox's new session. I saved individual visited sites to the bookmark toolbar. They too disappear when I close firefox.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 WFM. I see bookmarks.html and bookmarks.bak appear in my profile with Firefox still running after using the bookmarks manager > Import function.
(In reply to comment #1) > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 > Firefox/1.5 > WFM. I see bookmarks.html and bookmarks.bak appear in my profile with Firefox > still running after using the bookmarks manager > Import function. I see bookmarks.html.moztmp with my changes in it. It was not made into a bookmarks.html --David Brannam
