News groups should be displayed in threaded mode by default. When you subscribe to a newsgroup, the flag that says you want to read in threded mode should be turned on automatically. Linux build 2000.03.16.09
yes, but only after new-ness gets populated up to the thread parent (I think there's another bug on that). Until that happens, I honestly find threading pretty useless.

dude, what about snews? Otherwise, sr=bienvenu
while snews:// urls will work for autosubscribe purposes, the uri's for the nsIMsgFolders for secure newsgroups begin with news:/, not snews:// the secure info lives in the nsIMsgIncomingServer, the isSecure attribute. thanks for the review.
