I'm going to vouch for this being INVALID. The "GUI" you're referring to (you're probably thinking toolbar images, based on the component you put this in) is basically a bunch of fairly hi-res PNG images. Imagine if we tried to optimize everything for outdated bit-depths? I really don't think this is a valid bug. Anyone else want to second this?
...unless, of course, something is obviously wrong (ie. the toolbars are pink, or some such). Screenshots would be nice if you could attach them.
