In some input fields used on my websites, which run on Xoops, the input cursor flickers. This may be a dupe of 54153. It is selective and only occurs in some modules. On aka.org, try the guestbook and on aka.org/aka/ try the guestbook or entering an event in the calendar. Other modules give a normal blinking cursor. aka.org runs under Xoops 2.0.13.2 and aka.org/aka/ is an ongoing rebuild under Xoops 2.2.4. This problem does not occur on other browsers, including Firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to aka.org or aka.org/aka/
2.Choose the guestbook (for example)
3.Click sign guestbook
4. Click on a text field or textarea. The cursor will flicker.

Actual Results:
Cursor flickers. Does not occur in all modules.

Expected Results:
Cursor should blink.

Barry, the guestbook requires a login, so can you please check something for us? Are there a lot of animated images on any of the pages where the cursor flickers? If so, this is a dupe of bug 54153.
On the example pages I cited, there are "smiley" icons, one of which is animated. The others, I assume, are not. So there are not lots of animated images, but one, which is one of the reasons I was not sure if this is a dupe.

Bary
As I recall, one is enough to mess things up.
