Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right-click on the top-level menu like File or Edit.
2. Right-click on say the Back button on the navigation bar.
Actual Results:  
The item on the top menu will stay highlighted until you click or hover over it.

Expected Results:  
The item should be de-highlighted after the second right-click.

Yes File remain highlighted. Win 98 SE here.

Same in the nightly 20060131. 
This seems to be a core problem with the GUI. 
BTW, GNOME has a problem like that too: When you are over a button before it is active, you can't click it until you move the mouse outside & inside again.

Or not. When I right click say "File" and then right click "View", I still have this nice feature.

I have the same issue - menu items from right click disappear within a second after appearing...randomly
