One of the problems that people have using Bugzilla is that there can be a lot of products in one installation. There are also different types of users on each installation. For example, on bugzilla.mozilla.org, most users only want to file a bug in Firefox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey, etc.
Some people, like me, only want to file a bug in Webtools or Bugzilla.
And then there are probably people who only want to file bugs against Websites or mozilla.org, most of the time.
And it's not just filing bugs. It's also the search page, etc.
Timeless had an interesting idea: A per-user preference of "most commonly used products." You set it to certain products, and then everywhere a Product list appears in Bugzilla, *only* those products would appear unless you clicked a "show all products" list. And of course, because it's a per-user preference, the Admin can set a default which will also be used by logged-out users.
This would also handle the need for the customized Bug Entry page (if we also had icons that could be set for each product) on b.m.o.

Instead of this, I think what we should do is keep a record of which products people file most commonly against, and put those at the top or on a page before the normal "select from all these products" page.
(Or perhaps just make it a list of the products they've filed most recently against, instead of keeping track of how often they file.)
