From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; N; Win95; en-US; m14) BuildID: 2000032108 I'm using the Kensington Expert Mouse, with the MouseWorks 5.30 software. If I set one of the keys to 'Scroll while moving the mouse', I can scroll in other applications, but it doesn't appear to function in Mozilla. Normally, it comes up with a new icon (with essentially a circle and two arrows pointing up/down) and you move the trackball up or down and the page scrolls. It isn't working that way in Mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Map a button to 'scroll while moving the mouse' in MouseWorks 2.Click that button in Mozilla 3.Move the mouse Actual Results: Nothing. The page didn't scroll. Expected Results: The page should have scrolled.

This sounds similar to (in fact it's probably exactly the same as) what you get on a Logitech/Microsoft mouse when you press the wheel button down. Unfortunately, - The wheel button is also the middle button, and it has other functionality in Mozilla (pasting on Unix for sure). - Since we can't use the native functionality for this, it would have to be reimplemented. This would be a nontrivial task, and not all that much gained. So, basically, if someone else wants to implement this functionality, that would be great, but I don't think I will have time to do it. Marking WONTFIX.
