If I drag a URL onto the toolbar or into some other UI, the user title doesn't get set. Currently, the bookmarks button sets the user title to whatever the real title is. We should probably have the bookmarks service copy the page title to the user title when the bookmark is first created. This will handle all these cases.

I can't reproduce this. When I drag a link to the toolbar, the title is set correctly to the anchor text.

My bug (Bug 330939) was about dragging a tab to the menu or bookmarks toolbar in order to make a link. And it was duped against this one which was solved since a long time indeed. Bug 330939 has worsened. It even makes no link at all now.

Maybe it's better to close this bug and to open a new one for the new problem. Opened Bug 332964.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
