I think that many web companies (the company I work for included) have a list of Gecko bugs which hinder them, and are perhaps frustrated that these bugs in particular are not getting fixed (oblivious to the thousands of other bugs which also need to be fixed, perhaps ;) ).

I suggest that a new keyword be created for bug reports with an attached bounty. Somebody could come along and put up a bounty for the fix for a bug, post a comment outlining their offer, and add a "cash" keyword to the bug report. Cash-strapped hackers could then search for any unresolved reports with this keyword and have a go.

Well, that bug is a bug about adding the functionality to Bugzilla (note the bug's product), so if this bug was about getting mozilla.org to set up a system, it's not really a duplicate of that bug, but rather a duplicate of bug 213437.
