Per http://wiki.mozilla.org/Places:User_Interface#Session_History_List - determine simple grouping heuristic - determine presentation factors - implement in History Menu - implement in B/F button menus (P3)
Priority: -- → P3
See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=389946 for a few suggestions: * group by nsIURI.prePath and simply show the first entry of a group * use chevrons to distinguish "grouped" entries from normal entries (the extension additionally uses bold for the current entry and italics for grouped ones, but that might be overkill) * unify Back and Forward menus - paralleling the new History menu list (use then gotoHistoryIndex also for entries in the History menu) and IE7 beta's unified menu
Joe, When you look at this, post your strategy/design thoughts to d-a-f first. A simple approach would be best to start with.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
