here's the home page set I'm using.
http://my.myway.com/|https://phsexchweb.partners.org/exchweb/bin/auth/owalogon.asp?url=https://phsexchweb.partners.org/exchange/&reason=0
pages load correct on-start-up, but second tab is duplicated when refreshed or home page is clicked.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.http://my.myway.com/|https://phsexchweb.partners.org/exchweb/bin/auth/owalogon.asp?url=https://phsexchweb.partners.org/exchange/&reason=0
pages load correct on-start-up, but second tab is duplicated when refreshed or home page is clicked.

Expected Results:  
in previous version of mozilla this doesn't happen.  Same 2 tabs appear.

Right, let's turn you into what mconnor suggested in bug 195212 comment 70, then, an enhancement request to have  a hidden pref to make the home button nuke all current tabs and open just the home page set. (And it occurred to me while typing a new summary that it would be nice if *only* clicking the home button did it, since allowing script in content to call window.home() and close all your open tabs would be a bit of a shocker.)

bug 369440 is for the original issue from comment 0 (which would be wontfix per bug 195212 comment 70, but was never explicitly marked as such).

You either need to fix this or add a hidden pref. This is now going on for 7 years.
