Firefox does not work properly with Yahoo e-mail. You can not attach any files if you use Firefox. I had a 711K file - attaching with Firefox would not complete the attachment, even after 8 hours(YES EIGHT HOURS). I have tried numerous times with other files and Firefox is so slow doing Yahoo e-mail attachments that you will never complete the attachment. I swtiched back to Microsoft Internet Explorer and the same 711k file was attached in just three minutes or so. I have an Athlon 3800 X2 system on an Asus A8n SLI Mobo.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.write an email in Yahoo e-mail
2.attach a file
3.If it's just text like a word doc, it will just be unbearably slow. If there's a graphic in there, Firefox will be so slow, it will never complete the attachment. If you swtich to Microsoft IE, you don't have the same problems.
Actual Results:
Attachments are either unbearably slow, of if graphics included, Firefox will never complete the attachment, no matter how long you leave the computer running.
Expected Results:
Microsoft IE only took three minutes or so to attach a 711K file. Firefox was not finished attaching the same file even after letting the computer run for EIGHT HOURS.

x2 is dual core right? Humour me, and try running a single core and see if you still see this problem.

Reply:
Yes - it's a dual core machine. It might be a while
before I can fulfill your request. I don't have a
useable single core machine right now.
The people I know don't have Firefox; I don't know if
they would like me messing around with the
configuration on their computers. But if I can do it;
I'll try it and let you know. Thanks

I think it's possible to switch one of your cores off somehow.
