Try saving to a different location Changing the download target location produces no change. Firefox fails in exactly the same way. Other browsers (e.g., Opera, Safari, Netscape, Internet Explorer) perform flawlessly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Select any URL that leads directly to a download. Actual Results: Error dialog appears. Expected Results: Download should occur. Mac OS X 10.2.8
Stupid question, but does the user account you're having problems with actually have write privileges to the directories you're trying to download to? We need some 10.2 QA lovin on this bug, but since it happens in Fx too, it's Core. Let them triage it ;) cl

>… does the user account you're having problems with actually have write privileges to the >directories you're trying to download to? Absolutely yes: Owner: jfrench (Me) [the only account on the entire system]; Access: Read & Write. Plus, as originally reported, other browsers download into the directory without any problem whatsoever.
