User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 This may be a bug with the javascript of the Google Ads, or even individual websites, and not a problem with Firefox, but since it is a display issue, and I've encoutered it several times, I'm going to report it here anyway. Occaisonally, when viewing websites with google ads (text based ones), the ads are displayed in a completely incorrect location, such as over the top of existing content. Refreshing the page shows the google ads in the correct location again. It occaisonally throws of the layout of other content after the google ads as well. This seems to happen randomly, as far as I can tell. Reproducible: Sometimes
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 I don't see this. The google ads are displayed on the bottom of the site. Have you tried deleting your cache?
As I said, it only does this sometimes, and it's not just this site. This is just one where I happened to remember to take a screenshot. If I simply refresh the page, the problem fixes itself.
I have this problem as well. It's not just fot adsense ads, its for javascript invocation ads in general. It displays correctly when you load the page normally, but when you hit the browser back button or reload about 35% of times it shows ads in wrong locations. For example, visit http://www.shoshan.cl/ Then click any link there. Hit browser back button. Ads are all messed up at incorrect locations. (note: does not always happen, but about 35% of times)
I am also having this problem, both in Firefox 2.0 for Linux and Mac OS X. Submitted screenshot of another page (http://vba.ngemu.com/downloads.shtml). It may not happen every time, but it is rather annoying when it does happen. It appears to be more random to me than just hitting the back button, and I can't seem to get it to reload properly after it starts (every time I try to reload that page currently, I still see the error). Cleared history and cache, but I still cannot load the page. This page loads fine in Firefox 2 on mac, but I have had the same problem on other sites using the mac version. The other two sites listed in the comments render fine for me. The behavior seems to start randomly, then refuse to go away, at least for me.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
