The old NSS samples were intentionally removed long ago. A project was put underway to produce replacements samples. I believe it did produce some replacement samples, but perhaps not the entire list originally envisioned for the project. I don't recall, now, where the new samples were placed. Elio Maldonado from RedHat worked on it. I'm cc'ing him here. Elio, Please add comments here telling about the new samples. BTW, other bugs for projects/security have formerly been filed on BMO under product NSS, component documentation. Look there for more clues.

The new samples are tracked in a series of attachments to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490238 Other work has kept me away from completing them and I would like to resume working on them and attract folks to this worthy project. This started as a documentation work and perhaps the bug should be an NSS proper bug instead. Having attachments as tar balls makes the review process very cumbersome. Once Nelson suggested to me creating an NSS branch just for the work on the samples as would make the review process easier, bring more attention to them, and attract both reviewers and contributors.
