The most frustrating thing was to try to report this bug to you, now that I知 in your bugzilla which i think is a little too much for an average user to report bugs....c知on we r not all IT people.

but my problem is you can not type in any forms when using firefox, with out the "find" tool thing interfering. so when i type in a search engine, instead it types it in the "find" tool thing. over and over ...nothing seems to stop this from happening. Can you please let me know how to turn off this "Find Feature? So that this doesn't happen to me again. thank you for your time and keep up the good work.

See Bug 334156. Personally I've never seen this bug, although I type a lot in textfields. I always use the mouse to focus the inputfield first. Have you also tested this in Firefox's safe-mode or with a new profile?

I think unchecking "Begin finding when you begin typing" in advanced prefs helps a bit.

Whoa. i think that worked. had no idea that was check, must be left on default. surprised didn't happen to anyone else. i'll close this ticket for now. thank you guys for getting back to me.
