Unfortunately, my browser window had multiple tabs open, and was minimized. It had popped up a dialog asking to confirm that I wanted to close, but didn't restore itself first. I repeatedly clicked Restart, and then when i finally found my minimized window, i had to navigate a twisty maze of Confirm close dialogs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install an old nightly 2. open multiple tabs 3. minimize window 4. wait for the update check to run 5. click restart Actual Results: apparently nothing (although really firefox popped up a bunch of dialogs which are hidden from me) Expected Results: either firefox restarts, or it restores its window before confirming the close i'm using metacity 2.12.0 without the gnome taskbar applet. i suppose maybe that would have blinked or something, i'm not sure.
ACK, the window should pop up so the user can see which tabs are open. In Windows (20060503 Minefield), the question box pops up on the top left of the display, the task bar item does not blink.
Johannes in comment #1 > ACK, the window should pop up so the user can see which tabs are open. Johannes are you saying bug should be confirmed?
Long time no windows boot - works in GNOME on 220.127.116.11.
Windows XP: 18.104.22.168 works, 22.214.171.124 works. Didn't try a nightly though. I'll close the bug. If anyone can confirm, please reopen.

Just to clear this out: The desired behavior (which I see) on closing a minimized window with multiple tabs when warn is activated is: Bring the window to the front, with the warning box in the center of the window, having the focus.
