Details

(Whiteboard: [2012 Fall Equinox])

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414

When I drag and drop folder from bookmark manager to the desktop then it does not drop the folder and gives error message that "Not enough storage available to complete this operation."

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open bookmark manager
2.drag folder from bookmark manager to desktop or task bar.

Actual Results:
It does not drag and drop folder from bookmark manager to desktop

Expected Results:
It should drag and drop folder from bookmark manager to desktop with the bookmark files within that folder.

It is giving error message that "Not enough storage available to complete this operation."
I have encountered the exact same problem, with FF 2.0.0.13 on WinXP Pro. My own expectation was that it would create, on the desktop, an html file containing the contents of the folder and subfolders as a set of hyperlinks, basically create a subset of the regular Bookmarks.html file that is in FF's main directory. If they fix this... uh... feature, perhaps they could let you set a flag to determine if you want to create an actual folder filled with URL shortcuts and folders, or create an HTML file containing all the links and "folders" of the dragged-and-dropped "folder".

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a5pre) Gecko/20070515 SeaMonkey/1.5a] (nightly) (W2Ksp4)
[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008042602 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre] (nightly) (W2Ksp4)

I can reproduce:

The mouse pointer has a "link" image.
I get a "Windows" error dialog: (in French, sorry)
{{
Erreur de copie de fichier ou de dossier

Mémoire insuffisante pour cette opération.
}}

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008042106 Minefield/3.0pre] (nightly) (W2Ksp4)

The mouse pointer has a "+" image.
Drop simply cancels the drag.

1. Then, it seems FF v3 has a fix [or a regression ??] to the error, which is needed by the other applications/versions.
2. If that is possible, I think we should (improve further and) show a forbidden pointer, if the drop will not do anything (useful).
