http://www.rollyo.com/firefoxsearch.html linked from https://addons.mozilla.org/search-engines.php says "Sorry, you need to be using Firefox™ to take advantage of this new tool. Download Firefox™ now!" when open in minefield. Replacing Minefield/3.0a1 with Firefox/3.0a1 fixes the problem.
Still a problem. However, this is partly appropriate sniffing, because it correctly excludes (for example) Camino. Gerv
UA sniffing is almost never appropriate. They should be using feature checks (I'm not sure what that site does, but perhaps it should check for sidebar.addSearchEngine?)
