337348 - Mozilla refuses to start stating already running even after reboot

During yahoo search status showed 'waiting for us.bc.yahoo.com' with hourglass as cursor.  After 10minutes attempted to access computer but with no response.  Rebooted computer by switching off.  After reboot attempting to start Firefox always displays message stating Firefox already running.
Can get no further, so cannot give further information requested above.
Uninstalled Firefox and re-installed.  No change to problem.
Having to resort to M$ Internet Explorer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Wife searching in yahoo, sent to page us.bc.yahoo.com
2.System hung
3.




Should have asked user if other Firefox browser should be shut down, thereby allowing recovery of situation.
