Having many bugzilla accounts for a lot of open sources projects it would be easier for the private email-filter system to define a prefix/suffix for the subject line to automatically distinguish  between GCC / kernel / gentoo etc.

Note that you can also distinguish emails by their "From" line.
I have the following in newchangedemail. I wanted component as well, but we have UTF-8 component names and do not think Bugzilla 2.20 handles that too well.
