If you enable spell checking on all fields (change the preference layout.spellcheckDefault to 2) the search box underlines misspelled words but doesn't offer spelling suggestions in the context menu.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Change layout.spellcheckDefault to 2 
2.Type some misspelled words into the search box
Actual Results:  
The misspelled words are underlined but there are no suggestions in the context menu.

Expected Results:  
The context menu should offer spelling suggestions or not underline misspelled words.

AFAIK, spell-as-you-type will be disabled by default on all chrome text boxes. It would probably still be nice though to have the option to easily re-enable it per text box (at least for extensions).

Without changing any preferences, I have the same issue. I'm not sure when this problem appeared, but it has been in the last few nightly builds at least. as least.

I have the same issue (without changing any preferences). Weird as it's pretty much the same set up as my laptop, where it works fine.
