If you actually point to a zip.exe, I should use that and not even attempt MAF Also, I need a better way to figure out your zip.exe - for instance, allow other command line zips. or allow command line params

don't use MAF if a zip exe is specified. Also, if MAF fails, attempt zip - don't just die.
