Please go to this site: http://www.nseindia.com/
You will see that firefox hangs. This is across tabs in same window and even other windows.
Few things:
1. This might be due the site not being fully firefox compatible and written with only IE in mind, but still firefox need not stop responding in any case
2. This is most likely a bug in Mozilla, but I cannot install Mozilla to verify, sorry about this
3. I will happy to provide any more details

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just open http://www.nseindia.com/
2. You will see that browser hangs for sometime
3. Any other tabs/windows open also hang during the same period

Firefox still hangs till the site http://www.nseindia.com/ completely loads. Please go to this site and try for yourself.

- Open any web page in one tab of firefox
- Now open another tab and go to http://www.nseindia.com/
- You will note that you cannot navigate to the first tab till this page loads. Primary UI thread of firefox seems to be waiting and is not responsive
- Also if you have another window of firefox running then that too is unresponsive

I don't understand how you can resolve this bug when we have such a clear repro!

So is this problem reproducable for you if you make a new firefox profile?

I am unable to open profile manager using the command "firefox.exe -profilemanager" or "firefox.exe -P". It just opens up the firefox browser window.
However, I don't think this has anything to do with profile. Are you unable to repro this yourself? If this is so, I can help you out, please let me know.

If you can't get into the profile manager, that indicates that there is a firefox process still running in the background. Please close firefox, then use the task manager to ensure no firefox.exe processes are running, and then try a new profile.

It looks like the site uses Java. What version of Java do you have installed?

You are right, I could get profile manager after exiting firefox. Also as you indicated this is most likely a Java issue. Java control panel has following info:

the site doesn't hang immediately for me, but tabbar stopped working, CTRL+# works, mouse click don't, and java was still present in the systray after closing site... could be an internal java problem

(PS: how can exist two different versions of flash 9 NPSWF32.dll in the same folder?)

No reply, INCO. Please reopen if you are seeing this in Firefox 3.5.2 or later in Firefox safe mode and a new profile with the latest plugins.
