See upcoming testcase, which crashes Firefox. It also crashes in Firefox1.5.0.3.

To reproduce:
- Open testcase
- Blur the Firefox window, by focussing another window
- 6 alerts appear (which is too much, I think), click them all away
- Click in the url bar or the search field, a caret should appear, but doesn't
- Press enter.
Result: crash

So the fact that so many alerts appear is bug 112294. I suspect fixing that bug also could fix this bug.

Btw, I can also crash in nsAutoCompleteController::HandleDelete when pressing delete in the url bar/search field.

This is not a duplicate of bug 331561. Bug doesn't have a clear way to reproduce the crash, this bug has.

Ok, this is fixed now by bug 331561.
I've filed bug 343115 as a follow-up for the focus issues I'm still seeing.
