I checked the urls Interant Explorer http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7770880142&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1 Firefox http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7770880142&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1 Firefox is converting & to & which is causing the problem Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.If ebay sends a mail for an item you have bid or been outbid, it has the link for the item number 2. 3. Actual Results: Click the item link and it fails in Ebay saying item not found. Expected Results: The Item description should be displayed It works correctly in IE

This is probably a problem with how Firefox interacts with your email service rather than a problem with how Firefox interacts with eBay. What email service or client are you using when you receive these emails from eBay? (I could guess Hotmail based on your bugzilla ID.)
Seems to be related to bug #287573 which has still not been confirmed....
The & is being converted to & in the url when a link to a ebay item is pressed. It worked correctly in netscape as well as IE
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
