For a while now, all my search engines have been missing. I don't remember what caused them to no longer appear, but even when I upgrade to a newer version of firefox, they still don't show up. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it, and the search engines work until I copied over my profile, so I believe that the problem is something in my profile folder. I hope that you can help. Thanks.

Could you try following the instructions at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Search_engines_disappear_from_Search_Bar ?
