34122 - Show nick, not email username, for users

My primary email address for Mozilla work is <[e-mail]>. If I had a

cvs checkin account and checked in, it would should up in bonsai (e.g. blame or

log) as "mozilla"...



We should soon have a LDAP server for mozilla.org, which can also store a

nickname for users. Use this instead.

This bug has not been touched for more than nine months. In most cases, that 
means it has "slipped through the net". Please could the owner take a moment to 
add a comment to the bug with current status, and/or close it.

tara, I consider this to be a defect. The name is misrepresented.

the problem was uncommon back then, but these days, more and more Mozilla
contributors have their own domain (I see it in bugzilla, like
<[e-mail]>), and if they use their scheme for the login name,
their displayed "names" will all be meaningless.

We're already seeing this with Bugzilla because Joel Peshkin has cvs access, and
his email address is [e-mail].  So he shows up as "bugreport".  Not
very useful except that he's the only one so far, so we know it's him. :)

bug 179622 recently has turned up the need for that. We have several people with
bugzilla@* mail addresses, this sometimes looks kinda strange...
