Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.06 [sv] (Win98; I) BuildID: 5.0.15.2000033116 I downloaded Mozilla and installed it to the default directory. When i start it from the start menu, the Mozilla picture with the Seamonkey appears, but when its supposed to start up, the app crashes, leaving like 2000 windows in the activity field. I can exit the program and remove all the windows att once by pressing ctrl + alt + del. I have restarted Windows many times and it still does'nt work. This also happens when trying to start the Profile Manager. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click Mozilla Seamonkey/Profile Manager icon in the start/programs/mozilla seamonkey menu 2. 3. Actual Results: The first time i could'nt click anything, just move the mouse. I have rebooted windows several times, and now, after the bug occurs, i can shut it down by pressing ctrl + alt + del. Expected Results: Started.
I believe this bug is a duplicate of 27601. Do you have msvcrt.dll and msvcirt.dll in your c:\windows\system directory? See if adding those solves the problem. You can get msvcirt.dll here: http://www.winappz.com/msvcirt.zip You can probably get msvcrt.dll from there too, but I suspect you already have that one. This has actually been fixed in the netscape build. It'll be fixed eventually in the mozilla tree (I hope.)
