Firefox has the concept of tab jumpback where creating a new tab via cmd-click or single-window-mode will remember the launching tab such that when the new tab is closed, we'll jump back to the launching tab.
The jumpback tab is cleared by changing the current tab or by closing any tab. It's not intended to be a full tab history. It's only one level and is cleared with almost any action in the tab bar.
Patch forthcoming
