User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
If I have Firefox running on PC1 with resolution LARGER than 1024x768, and I remote desktop (terminal services client) to PC1 from another machine PC2 which has resolution 1024x768, the Firefox viewable window gets confused. The horizontal scroll bar dissappears, words continue past the edge of the app window. When I log back into PC1, the Firefox window is still wrong, and I have to restart the browser to fix it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch firefox (on a machine with a high resolution)
2. open a few tabs with websites
3. remote desktop (terminal services client) to PC1 from another machine PC2 (which has a smaller resolution than PC1)
Actual Results:
viewing PC1 over Remote Desktop on PC2, all of the tabs have lost their horizontal scrollbars, and words continue beyond the viewable window.
Expected Results:
the window would not change if I view it from a remote computer. the scrollbars would remain. the text would not continue beyond the viewable window.

This has happened to me a lot of times on both Firefox 1.0 and Firefox 1.5 branches.

Definitely happening in FF 2.0 also. Is this a duplicate of bug 315702?

Ben, is this gone for you using newer RDP - Remote Desktop
Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0), documented in microsoft KB925876 ?

No, it seems to work now.

Just for the record, I also have this problem using Remote Desktop Connection Beta 2, on Mac OS X (leopard) + Firefox 2.0.0.12.
It's not always easy to reproduce - some times it happens even if FF is minimized for the whole duration of the RDC session. Although it typically seems to happen if there is a long period after disconnecting before I reconnect (or log-in locally) to the remote machine. I've noticed, (though I might be wrong) that it seems to happen if the screen-saver has been activated on my remote machine. My experience of this has been the same in both RDC Beta2 and the older versions of Windows RDC. I haven't tried TSC 6.0 on a windows client yet...
