Hello All, 

If this is the wrong place for bugzilla related doubts posts, please pardon me. 

I would like to know certain things in relation to Bugzilla V2.2: 

1] How to add new drop downs like we already have "components" or "version" 
2] How do we remove the drop downs like "components" - customization to our requirements 
3] How do we add templates to the description place? 
4] How do we select only components or any drop down based on product selected !!?

2 - you'll need to hide them <input type=hidden value=currentvalue>
3 - huh?
4 - huh? if you want the component list to change dynamically when someone picks another product, you'll need to write some ajaxy or heavy js, this is probably bug 227611

Hello,

        None of these bug # actually helps use in explaining how to add new fields on bug entry and show pages [CGI] like the OS or Version drop downs. Would the custom fields patch in 2.12 actually allow the admin to add new fields or drop downs as we have now and remove the default drop downs like OS, HW, Flags etc. Moreover, I would like to know if changing the components to hidden within the CGI would affect the bugzilla functionality in anyway.

With regards to the templates what I meant was: If I would like to have some text within "description" section already ready when some click on bug_entry.cgi page, how could I accomplish that?

Is it possible that the admin can add new customized drop downs like components or OS or HW? 

It would really come handy if people could make changes or customize bugzilla as per their needs / products.

Also can the presentation of the BUG entry and show pages [CGI] be changes by just changing the code within respective templates? or whats the work around?
