User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060714 BonEcho/2.0b1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060714 BonEcho/2.0b1 1. Go to the specified URL. 2. Left-click the link of the first Google result (which leads to "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidel_Castro" at the time of writing). Actual Results: A blank page loads. Expected Results: The Fidel Castro Wikipedia page loads. This seems to happen whenever the first Google result is a Wikipedia page. This problem occurs with: ---Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060714 BonEcho/2.0b1 ---Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060714 Minefield/3.0a1 This problem does not occur with 1.5.0.4. Is this a dupe of bug 342119? Reproducible: Always
Further, it seems that after following the steps above, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidel_Castro won't load at all -- even if I enter the URL into the address bar -- until I 'Clear Private Data', at which point the page *will* load if I enter the URL into the address bar.
Argh. This is not reproducible always, after all -- it's now letting me view the page when I click the first Google result. I wonder if that's because I've just cleared my private data?
If you are unable to reproduce this, please try a Google search with a different Wikipedia page as the first hit. Currently I can't reproduce this with the Fidel Castro page, but I can with the Microsoft one: http://www.google.co.uk/search?&q=microsoft+wikipedia.

This does sound somewhat like bug 335909, but then that bug doesn't seem to touch on the "if the first Google result is a Wikipedia link then the link won't work" thing so much. Hmm.
Just to point out that this is fixed now that bug 335909's patch has landed.
