Helping in #firefox I've come to realize it's really valuable when doing QA and problem determination to know what version people had before the update that broke/changed their browser. It can't be taken for granted that they came from the previously available version even if they use automatic updates. Also, and especially when they use automatic updates, most users have no clue what version they had before the update. "show update history" window would look something like this then: Firefox 22.214.171.124 (####...) Security update Installed on: date status: update was successfully installed Previous version: 126.96.36.199
Requesting blocking for Firefox 3. I think this is a very important option for following issues.
Flags: blocking-firefox3? → blocking-firefox3-
Target Milestone: --- → Firefox 3
I'm adding the previous app version to the update metadata in bug 530872 so adding dependency. Adding it to the ui will happen in this bug but I might not get to it for the next release
Depends on: 530872
