User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060608 Ubuntu/dapper-security Firefox/1.5.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060608 Ubuntu/dapper-security Firefox/1.5.0.4 This is a feature request, mostly usefull for people who prefer keyboard to the mouse. I would like a shortcut that would : a) focus the webpage no matter what I am doing. b) If hit again while the webpage is focused, it would bring the webpage back to its original position and put the cursor back into whereever it was, like a form field for example. This could also server as a kind of reset-everything-you're-doing-and-fall-back-to-a-safe-place. Example 1 (filling forms): When filling in forms in long pages and I want to page-up to re-read something I have to either Tab myself to death until I perceive the subtle focusing hints on the page or I have to click somewhere in the page to give it focus. Hitting 'shortcut' could do just that. If hit again I'm back to entering text. Example 2 (the location bar): Sometimes I focus the location bar just to give up typing something because I realize I missed something in the bottom on the page. So I want to read the rest and it would be just great to immediately focus the page and start scrolling with the keyboard. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start filing a bug in bugzilla.mozilla.org 2.when in the "steps to reproduce" field try using your keyboard to go to the top of the page. 3.count how many keystrokes it took you (no mouse cheating) Actual Results: 5 keystrokes for me. Expected Results: Alwasys 2 keystrokes. 1. Esc-Esc to focus page 2. Ctrl-Home to go up. And this would be independent of the web page.
