34700 - Squid 2.2 /Stable 4 Proxy Server password problem

The company I work in uses a Squid 2.2 firewall.  It requires authentication.  
When I use old Netscape or IE, I am prompted to enter proxy password once each 
time I start the browser.  With Mozilla build 14, I am prompted for proxy 
password for each and every http request to the server (for each image for 
example).  Looks like each request made by mozilla is the same as a new 
traditional browser session!  So I cannot use mozilla.  Please investigate.

This was FIXED 2000-03-07, post M14, by work for bug 24329, "Make proxy auths 
persistent"
