User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5
When use Citrix client (ICA Web Client for 32-bit Windows in https://ra.pge.com/Citrix/ICAWEB/en/ica32/ica32t.exe), it should download a file launch.asp.ica. Firefox 1.5.0.5 downloads as launch.asp. Open it with the following error message.
--- Windows cannot open this file:
File: Launch.asp
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer.
What do you want to do?
_ Use the web Servcie to find the appriate program
_ Select the program from a list
OK Cancel
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log into company's Citrix connection site.
2.Launch an application
3.It downloads a file "launch.asp"
If use IE6,
it downloads a file "launch.asp.ica" instead. IE is able to open file with appropriate Citrix program.
Actual Results:
Firefox cannot invokes Citrix program.
IE6 can successfully invokes Citrix program.
Expected Results:
Firefox works the same way as IE6.

This sounds like a windows issue not a firefox issue. It seams that that url you listed points to an executable file. Which I was able to download and appears to launch a program. IE probably dose this automatically but because of security risks you should do it manually as is the default in firefox.

I notice this problem on certain hardware configurations but working on others. I have these PC's at home. These are my observation:
--- working
AMD XP 2200+ (I built)/ on Windows XP/ SP2
Intel Cleron 2.0 (Dell Inspiron 1100) / on Windows XP/ SP2
Intel Pentium III / 600 Mhz (I built) / on Windows 2K
Intel Pentium II / 333 (I built) / on Windows 2K
--- not working:
Intel Centrino 1.6 (IBM Thinkpad T43)/ on Windows XP/ SP2
Intel D-905 (I built)/ on Windows XP/ SP2
The work around I use now it to rename it to .ica extension. Then, open it with Citrix web client.

I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
