User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
The DOM Inspector and Talkback extensions were installed with Firefox and worked, but after running the updater, they are grayed out and listed as incompatible. The only way to get them working again is to uninstall them, download the full installer, and then reinstall firefox manually with those options checked again. These are part of the core distribution and not available through any other means, so the updater really needs to be fixed before the next version. This is the second update in a row that has failed to update these two extensions.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Update firefox
2.Open the extensions window
Actual Results:
DOM Inspector and Talkback are not upgraded resulting in an error that they are incompatible and no compatible upgrades could be found.
Expected Results:
Updater should have overwritten the extensions with the newer versions automatically without forcing me to reinstall them manually.

Are you by chance using a FAT(32) filesystem?

If the partition Firefox is installed on is FAT/FAT32, I suspect this is a duplicate of bug #346407.
Try this:
1) Close Firefox
2) Go to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions" (adapt the path to your installation) and move the "inspector@mozilla.org" & "talkback@mozilla.org" to some other folder. (I chose "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\").
3) Launch Firefox so that it updates the list of available extensions.
4) Close Firefox again.
5) Move the folders back to where they were.
6) Launch Firefox again, everything should be back to normal.
This ensures that the list of availables extensions it updated and thus, that DOMi & Talkback are updated to the latest version.
Hope it helps.
