After you click on the start demo all the hyperlinks are like regular text. This problem is caused in the same manner as MFSA2006-30. Go here http://browserfun.blogspot.com/ and go to the Topic called MoBB #4: Mozilla Firefox DesignMode. Has background information on the bug/exploit

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to http://metasploit.com/users/hdm/tools/browserfun/mobb_004.html
2.Click the Run Demo button
3.After demo finishes go to a site like cnn.com or any thing with a hyperlink and try and click on it.

Actual Results:  
Hyperlinks treated as regular text.

Expected Results:  
expected results were that nothing would happen since the issue was patched in firefox 1.5.3

Umm ya just wanted to also say this bug was found on Firefox 2.0 beta 1

Does this happen on any page that uses designMode (at the top level)?  http://www.squarefree.com/contenteditable.html is a simple one.

Just want to say sorry real fast for all the post im putting up kind of new to this bug reporting system. ok as for http://www.squarefree.com/contenteditable.html its editable but a cant click the button(happens on all buttons) so there for u cant make it uneditable and a weird quick find box shows up when u type really fast and it auto closes seem to be no way to close it manually. (one of the jpegs i posted just before this post has the weird quick find box on it) You can click on picture thumbnails and that seems to work. As for googles homepage thing i included a screenshot of that to. If u look at it u will see white boxes around there and it says java is disabled which it actualy isnt. Then you will see in the last picture is a picture of this acutal page. If you look at it u will see the problem right away it seems that u can move every thing on this page. As i said before links dont work textboxs dont work damn near every thing u can edit or click on dont work. Hope this info is of help

confirmed. I can reproduce on Windows Bon echo build from 20060808.

Links can't be clicked to open, they can, however be context clicked and operated on with that menu.

First tab meaning the tab the test demo was run in. (open cnn.com in the same tab as you ran the demo)

Yes, this is basically the same issue as in bug 287707.
