On the Mac with a build from this afternoon, we can't open local HTML or XML files: they are displayed as source files. With a patched version of nsXMLMIMEDataSource.cpp that davidm sent me, we can open local files but we can no longer open remote XML files. To test it, open Test14 in the Viewer Demos under the Debug menu, or go directly to the URL above. I haven't tested on other platforms.
I can sort of open the remote one. It works about 90% of the time on both mac and linux but for some reason it occassionaly fails with and Error Loading URL debug message. As the added code is never touched on linux, I am wondering if this might be a cache issue. Will look at later
Target Milestone: --- → M16
I can't reproduce this today. The mime mapping code doesn't even appear to be called for typing the xml file ( http header?).
