User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5 When an automatic firefox update notice appears I look to see what the update provides. Sometimes what it provides irrelevant to me (e.g. I don't use windows) or not worth putting up with the hassle of re-starting (and losing some extensions). So I click 'later' and the notice continues popping up every few days, which is annoying. I want a button that says 'not this update'. It should stop asking me about that particular update and only present a notice when there is a new update available. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.wait for automatic update window 2.look for button to say 'not this update' 3. Actual Results: Only two buttons. Expected Results: I should be able to say 'not interested in this one'. Having to restart firefox is very disruptive for me, as I keep many windows and tabs running for long periods as extensions to my memory (in conjunction with linux software suspend which allows me to turn the computer off without losing state information.) It should be trivial to fix.
Many of the security fixes in the maintenance releases (1.5.0.x) affect all platforms, so it would be a good idea to keep up to date. You might want to look at a Session Restore extension to allow you to pick up where you left off, eg: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2324/ This functionality will be built into Firefox 2, due late September-ish. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 310698 ***
