We use BBC now, and there was some talk about using Reuters because it was localized in more regions. Someone needs to make a decision, and I nominate beltzner!

Note that under the new URL scheme, this should not introduce a late-l10n impact except insomuch as it blocks end-to-end testing.

Removing late-l10n keyword as per comment 1; we'll do server side redirects for these bookmarks. The actual bookmark itself will be created in bug 348165

We're going to maintain BBC as the standard as opposed to moving to Reuters at this point. If and when we decide to make that change, we can do so independent of a release vehicle because we have the redirects setup properly by locale.
We have also provided a mechanism by which l10n teams may request redirects to more appropriate content to serve as the example of the Live Bookmarks feature:
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox2/L10n_Requirements#RSS_Sample
We also have a good relationship with the BBC established through the shared experience of being forced to scale quickly with the demand -- through the inclusion of this link. ;-P And so, we can and should open a dialog with them around any shortcomings we wish to address as part of the evaluation of alternate defaults.

Unless there are vehement objections to the proposal and decision to maintain the status quo and allow for exceptions through l10n, this bug is resolved for Fx2.
